uwa, which means “youth” in Hindi, works specifically with girls from impoverished families in rural Jharkhand, India—a place where girls are at risk of child marriage and human trafficking
Fraz Gastler is a co-founder of non-profit organization called YUWA-India, which is using football to empower women rural areas of Jharkhand.

Yuwa offers scholorship programs to girls in rural areas of Jharkhand by giving them oppurtinity to break out of their poverty cycle and develop creative and critical skills.
In Rural Jharkhand 6 out of 10 girls drop out of school and become child brides.

Yuwa does more then delaying their marriage but also re-write the legacy they were passed on.
