How Hansal Mehta’s ‘Scam 1992’ becomes Number 1 show on IMDB-beating ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Chernobyl’

Beating shows like Breaking Bad and Chernobyl, Hansal Mehta’s Scam 1992, which narrates the rags to riches story of Harshad Mehta has caught people’s fancy.

Ever since its release, people are going gaga over the show that follows the story of  a stockbroker who took the stock market to new heights before he witnessed a steep downfall. The infamous scam was called ‘security scam’ which was worth ₹3,500 crore. 


Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story has reportedly grabbed number one spot on IMDb’s Top Rated TV Shows list with a 9.6/10 rating.

The rating for Scam 199 is based only on approx. 20,000 votes. As more votes will be added, the rating is likely to drop. On the other hand, rating of shows like Chernobyl and Game Of Thrones is based on more than 10,00,000 views. 


What remains to be seen is whether the rating will fall or rising in the next few days. If the show maintains its rating, it might emerge as the top-rated show on IMDb.
