The world has a new fastest car. SSC’s Tuatara clocked a record 316.11 mph (508.73 km/h) on a dusty desert highway outside Las Vegas. An SSC Tuatara production car at the speed record test in Pahrump, Nevada on Oct. 10.

The SSC Tuatara hypercar made by ssc north america has broken the worlds fastest production vehicle record by achieving an average speed of 316.11 mph (508.73 kmph). The record breaking speed was achieved after two consecutive high speed test runs of 301.07 mph (484.53 kmph) and 331.15 mph (532.93 kmph). The 1,750 horsepower hypercar’s record breaking drive took place on October 10 in Nevada.
