These States will open schools from Monday: Check List, Rules, Guidelines

Few of Indian States have decided to partially open schools from Monday after a gap of more than 5 months as the Coronavirus Panademic forced the authorities to shutdown all educational institutes earlier.

The Government also made it clear that it is not mandotary for educational institutions to resume schools from Monday.

Following states will reopen school from Monday:

  • Andhra Pradesh – Reopen school for 9th to 12th under parents consent.
  • Assam – Reopen school for 9th to 12th under parents consent for next 15 days.
  • Bihar – 9th to 12th students under parents consent (Voluntarily)
  • Delhi – 9th to 12th students under parents consent (Voluntarily)
  • Jammu and Kashmir – 9th to 12th students under parents consent (Voluntarily)
  • Punjab – Allowed opening of higher education institutes from September 21 for PhD scholars and postgraduate students pursuing technical and professional courses requiring experimental work.

Delhi, Gujarat, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal have announced that they will not allow classes to resume from Monday. Bihar’s education department will hold a meeting on Tuesday to take decision on reopening school in the state. A proper guideline will be issued after consulting stakeholders for ensuring safety of children at schools, a senior official said.
