‘Pride house’ will be opened up to highlight rights of LGBTQ before and during olympic 2020

Pride House Tokyo is a project that transcends sector boundaries to link various groups, individuals and corporations in solidarity. Pride House Tokyo will take the opportunity of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics to establish a pop-up information center and spread information related to LGBT people and other sexual minorities, as well as provide various events and programs related to diversity.

The logo design for the Pride House Tokyo project was created by artist Asao Tokolo, who has created works based on the themes of connection and diversity, and who designed the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic emblems.

Divided into the three phases of the period leading up to the Olympics and Paralympics (TOWARD 2020), the period during the Olympics and Paralympics (UNITED 2020) and the period after hosting the Olympics and Paralympics (BEYOND 2020), this plan links various roles and responsibilities that will utilize the strengths of each group and individual within the Pride House Tokyo consortium.
